Notes link to last school or bio info available (whether or not a current bio has been found) and to possible matches in national directories and newspaper articles.

Records taken from mylife.com and some other directory sites linked above have been screen-captured as inert JPEG pictures to avoid popups and unwelcome solicitations. Apologies in advance for any errors. (The casual observer will note the amazing subsequent careers of many of these pupils: doctors, lawyers, professors, teachers, civil servants, diplomats, business people, and their wide geographic distribution.)

See Sinai Waxman’s Web site here. He was one of the three sixth-grade teachers in 1952-53.

Pupils of Sinai Waxman may contact him at

After 2 years teaching 6th grade at PS 21, Sinai Waxman taught at NYU and Boces, later on was appointed assistant superintendent of Greenburgh District 8 Schools, followed by professorship and chairman at Hunter College School of Education.  He earned his PhD in 1958.

He remembers PS 21 children and loved teaching them.

A November 13, 2017 story in the Washington Post, "You've probably never heard of this creepy genealogy site. But it knows a lot about you." explains in some detail how public data on U.S.-based individuals is aggregated and can be published, indeed made available free online. Errors creep in, and unlike paid-for credit bureau reporting there is little legal recourse for seeking correction. A subset of this is the even creepier is the collection of mugshot websites, often extortionate in nature. (One or two of the individuals listed on this page may appear on such sites, but we ignored such links.)
