Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Baeder, a former resident of Yonkers, died on Sunday, February 26, 2006 in Berlin, MD. Betty was born in Vrbovce, Czechoslovakia on September 30, 1911 and was the daughter John and Katrina (Sadlon) Blazek. She was 94. Betty was a former member of St. Paul's Slovak Lutheran Church in the Bronx. Betty is survived by her daughter Joan (George) Holsten; her son William (Rose); five granddaughters: Christine, Susan, Joanne, Kathryn and Victoria and six greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Orman; her brother John Blazek; her sisters: Susan Zrini and Anna Zrini. Visiting hours will be held Friday (today) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, with the Funeral Services at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 am. The interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Paul's on the Hill, 40 Ganung Dr., Ossining, NY 10562 would be appreciated.
