Abstract |
Disputes arose between various Lloyd's names, as
plaintiffs, and Member's Agents and the Society of Lloyd's, as defendants. D
applied for proceedings started in the Chancery Division to be transferred to
the Queen's Bench Division. Held, that it would be inappropriate to leave the
actions in the Chancery Division, mainly because there would be a need at any
hearing for an understanding of the practical working of Lloyd's methods for
the making of calls and the judges of the Commercial Court had more
experience of Lloyd's affairs. |
